Hotel Review: Chateau Veronica Apartelle

Past few weeks in Makati have been so stressful, glad we were finally able to escape everything even for just four days at one of our favorite place in the Philippines with some of our friends (Ian’s Officemates). I feel a little more refreshed, it felt good to not think anything and just live solely in shorts and tank tops for 4 days. Woohooo!!!

Fast forward, we had our early summer escapade at Davao last March 1 – 4, 2013. Actually, we already booked our flight last August 2012. This trip is different from the other trips that Ian and I had, why? Because this time I don’t know the exact itinerary. Haha. Meaning, di ako nag ayos ng trip na to! Wohoo!!! 1st time! Well, thanks to Gen for arranging our trip.

I love Tiger Airways because they depart on time, so we arrived at Davao International Airport 10 minutes before the schedule of arrival. Bravo! This is not our 1st time in Davao; our 1st visit here was way back 2009 with our F21 friends when Tropical Storm Ondoy hits Metro Manila, although we just spent weekend here we maximize our time for City tour and Day tour at Pearl Farm. This time, our Davao trip is much adventurous and extreme!

I have no idea where we are going to stay for the next 4 days in Davao, so I was surprised when we arrived at Chateau Veronica Apartelle. This apartelle is approximately 25-30 minutes from the airport. You can take public transport like jeepney and ask the driver to stop at Torres St. alongside there will be a queue of tricycles with number routes, just ask a driver who could take you to where Chateau Veronica Apartelle is or if you have extra money, take a metered taxi if you’re not up to multiple rides.

As we enter at the Apartelle, I was surprised! Wow! It feels like “Home away from Home”. We reserved one unit with 4 bedrooms. It was indeed a perfect decision choosing this place because the staffs are flexible, easy to talk to and can extend quiet good favors, they are very warm and friendly.  The place is totally safe plus it has free WIFI! Woohooo!!!

The unit has a very homey ambiance. The unit is equipped with home equipment and mini-kitchen provided with dining set, complete kitchen utensils where you can make your own food at any time like what we did (we cooked our breakfast every day), fridge, gas stove and bathrooms with hot and cold shower. Wooowww!!!

This place is really recommendable accommodation for families and large group of friends like us. You can do everything just like in your own home. There is one room downstairs and one comfort room. This is the room for the boys; it has two single beds with pull-out bed underneath.

The two bedrooms consist of two single beds with pull out bed underneath with aircon and cable television. They also have common comfort room with hot and cold shower too.

Tres Maria's Room (Roan, Olyn and Gen)

So this is our room, whooo!!! I guess this is the master’s bedroom because it has double size bed, cable television, small powder area and private comfort room.  Of course, our room was air-conditioned.  They also provide clean towel and toiletries.

Overall, I love the place – quite and safe place to stay for the family and friends plus you will truly feel like you are at your own home.
